If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that plans change.
A minor change of plans is no big deal. But when a change of plans is big enough to cancel something like–oh, I don’t know–your anniversary trip to Jamaica, that’s a different story.
Every sickness, every setback, every breakup, is a change of our best laid plans. And how we respond when our plans are highjacked often makes matters worse–we get manipulative, childish, depressed, and take all sorts of self-medicating measures to try to feel the illusion of control again.
But in the biographies of Jesus, we actually see another way you and I can respond when plans change. The way this year has gone, I have a feeling we’ll get a chance to put in practice in the near future.

ABOUT WHAT JESUS SAYS ABOUT
This channel is a quick and easy place for you to find What Jesus Says About topics important to you.
No 30-minute sermons. No five-dollar words. No hard sell. I just do my best to let Jesus speak for Himself so you can respond for yourself.
WHY I DO THIS
What Jesus Says About is sponsored by THRED, an organization committed to open and honest conversations about life, faith, and Jesus.
I’m a husband. I’m a father through adoption and foster care. I’m also a pastor of a church. My life mission is to “do whatever it takes so as many as possible can see Jesus”. This channel is one of the ways I live that out.

Auto Generated Captions
